Just in time for summer, Replica Breitling has introduced a vibrant collection of Clone watches designed to evoke thoughts of sun, surf, and sandy beaches. While this isn’t the first appearance of the colorful Skittles-like dials from Replica Breitling—having previously featured in the Superocean Heritage ’57 collection—it marks the first time they’ve been incorporated into the Superocean Automatic models. With options available in two sizes, two metals, and several bright rubber straps, there are five new Replica Breitling Superocean Automatic 42 and 36 rainbow-dial watches to choose from.
True to the new-generation yet vintage-inspired Superocean Automatic line that launched in 2022, the dials showcase a pronounced minute scale around the edges, robust hour markers, and paddle-shaped minute hands. The rainbow effect is achieved through a spectrum of Super-LumiNova colors—including yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, red, and orange—used to coat the hands and indexes.
Aside from the newly added white and black dials with rainbow highlights, these latest Superocean Automatic 42 models are essentially the same as their catalog counterparts. They feature 42mm cases (12.56mm thick and 47.76mm lug-to-lug) and are water-resistant to 300 meters. Replica Breitling has crafted all rainbow editions from stainless steel, paired with ratcheted bezels featuring black ceramic inlays. Complementing the vibrant dials are eye-catching rubber straps available in turquoise (ref. A17375211B2S1), aquamarine (ref. A17375211B2S2), orange (ref. A17375211B2S), and yellow (ref. A17375211B2S4), each equipped with stainless steel folding clasps.
While the 42mm models resemble a bustling beach filled with colorful umbrellas, beach balls, and towels, the Superocean Automatic 36 (ref. U17377211A1S1) evokes a luxurious poolside atmosphere—think lounging in cabanas with billowing white drapes while enjoying a chilled drink. The 36mm stainless steel case (12.21mm thick, 42.41mm lug-to-lug, and also 300m water resistant) is adorned with an 18k red gold bezel inlaid with white ceramic, complemented by a red gold winding crown. The all-white dial features the same gradient lume-coated hands and indices, though they don’t stand out as prominently against the lighter background compared to those on the black dial. This smaller version is finished with a matching white rubber strap and a stainless steel folding clasp.
Within the cases of the Replica Superocean Automatic 42 and 36 rainbow-dial watches are COSC-certified Caliber 17 automatic movements (derived from ETA 2824-2) that operate at 28,800 vibrations per hour, providing approximately 38 hours of power reserve.
